IN Pain... Braxton Hicks? something else?

I am only 30 weeks pg and have had pain in the stomach from late last night all day today. The pain is constant, doesn't come and go and feels like muscle pain (??pulled AB muscles) or stomach ache? . I paged my OB and he thinks it is muscle related as it is around the belly button?

Has anyone heard of this before or experienced anything similar?

I didn't get Braxton Hicks with DS #1 so don't know what it feels like.??

    Worried!!!!

I didn't have BH with DS1 but sure did with DS2. But they weren't at all like what you are describing. The fact that the pain is constant makes it sound like it could be muscle related. I hope it eases for you soon.

If it was BH you would have the entire bump from top to bottom tighten up (without pain) and then it would back off after a minute or 2. Sounds like muscles are stretching and that can be uncomfortable. A warm bath or shower or heat pack might help relax the muscles if they are cramping up. So much is stretching to make room for baby. Its a no wonder you would feel the muscles when they pull.

I had a really bad day of BH and the following day i had a sore tummy like i had pulled a muscle... ( i had been drinking RLT the day before)

Is it possible that you have been having BH and not know it. Mine were painless and i would just feel my tummy go hard and then soft - alomst like bubs was moving up and then down. it was quiet subtle in some cases and TBH i had been having them for weeks and not knowing it !!!

HTH, go put you feet up or have a warm bath like others have suggested... it should ease in 24hrs if it is muscle related...
You body is just getting itself ready for the big day
