Pain in my "womanly bits" TMI

Ok well as you can see by my ticker im 37 weeks pregnant (yay)

Over the last week I've noticed that I feel bruised down there" not all the time but if Im walking or I put my legs up. Was wondering if this is just the baby engaging?

It could be a number of things - baby moving down, just the general weight of baby (as they get bigger!) - could even be baby poking around down there!
If youre worried chat to your midwife

Ha! had a thought. I think its the little monkey trying to take a peek outside to see if he can see what its like out there before he decides to come out!

Thanks for all your replies ladies.

I'm not overly worried, I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow hopefully she has some idea what it may be.

Hi Miskylie- Just thought Id respond, cause Ive been feeling this exact same thing as well. Mine has been happening for a couple of weeks, and Id describe it as a very bruised feeling too. Mentioned it at my appt on Tues and the doctor didnt bat an eyelid. My sister said she had the same thing with her second preg too, so Im thinking its pressure from the weight of the baby. Not very pleasant, but on the up side, you haven't got long to go!!!Good luck!!

If the pain is across your pubic bone, then be careful to make sure you move symetrically. It it like you are swollen right down there then it is bubs putting pressure on you. To help that you can do pelvic floor exercises.

Well had my appointment with the middy and she said that its a very common complaint in the later stages of pregnancy, its basically what most of you have said.. pressure from bubs moving down. so nothing to be concerned about.
