Period pain and a lot of pressure...normal?

I am 31 weeks at the moment and last night and today have been getting what I can only describe as period pain. It's a constant pain, not like a contraction, and will last for about an hour or so. I can't feel it so much sitting down, only when I'm up and walking around. I also have a lot of downwards pressure in my lower belly / abdomen, which I only remember getting with DS late in pregnancy, from 38 weeks onwards.

Just wondering if this is a normal thing for this stage of pregnancy? Like I said I don't remember this with DS so early.

    Thanks

Not sure, but I'm at 37wk and I feel all bulge-y 'there'... By the time I notice any period pain and get excited things could start soon.... It's gone

Im getting all of the above! I get the period pains, I get the preassure and this morning when I walk I feel like there is somthing trying to come out of my bits!

I guess its all part and parcel of our bodies getting ready!

I feel the same. It goes away when I lie down so I assume all is good just uncomfortable.

Does the pain ease when you lay down or have a rest hun?

I've felt similar-ish of late, but it comes in waves (lasts for 20 - 30 mins) then it might go for awhile, and yep, downward pressure is a bit uncomfy too eh?

Text me if you need hun!!

Thanks leesa, appreciate that! You've described exactly how it feels so perhaps I'm thinking it must be s normal thing for our stage of pregnancy!

I have been getting this too, the last couple of days. I then notice it coincides with Braxton Hicks, but they do go away when i walk around, are not painful as such just uncomfortable, and are worst in the car. I have also been getting the pressure. Sometimes when I wee (sorry TMI) I feel the baby just dropping down and I do a little kegel just to make sure he doesn't fall out! (that's what it feels like anyway). I guess it is going to be like this here on in hun, but I sympathise!
