On Sunday when wiping I noticed some snot like stuff on the tp when wiping, it didin't have blood it in. I called my dh to have a look (gross i know). He asked if it was semen, as we'd had sex the night before and this was sun arvo, it was also a lot less 'wet' than cm or semen and more green in colour than i recall my discharge being. To me it seemed a long time since we dtd the deed the night before being that i had been to the toilet at least 10 times before this. He agreed it seemed to be a bit too solid to be semen anyway. I figured maybe it was plug, as i am 34 weeks and there was no plug i figured that was probably normal.
So last night we dtd again, this arvo i again noticed a big discharge, this time it was more wet than sun, so now i am more confused. It was more like cm being more sticky/wet than before, but a very similar colour to sun.
What do you think, I assume I should mention it to the midwife when i see her on Friday anyway.
I am 33w 5d and i have a lot of the same stuff. It is very confusing to tell wether it is the mucous plug or if it is normal discharge. I also notice an increase when DP and i dtd. It normally starts to come out a fair bit more later on the next day. And is just how you described it.
Mention it to your midwife if you are concerned. I always tell them when they ask if i have had any loss of any sort. Does'nt hurt.
Yay for green mucus! Snotty stuff is normal in pregnancy, from what I know - my plug was like a thick splatty clump of sperm (no bding for a bit prior to this) and was white, not green.
I lost some plug which was like snot but no blood or anything in it at about 37 weeks. A week later, i had some more but that with blood in it. Mine wasnt really that green though, maybe a little green? but not really really green.
Thanks for your replies. I am glad I am not the only confused one. I thought I would just know if it was plug.
I will mention it on Friday to the midwife. I am not talking really green, green tinged. While my CM tends to be clear/to creamy so basically I noticed because it's a different shade.
