Positional pain from Phoenix - ouch!

I think I'm just looking for some reassurance or similar stories/experiences.

Yesterday I didn't feel great and during the morning started getting some sharp pain inside down low on the left of my pubic area. I was fine when sitting down but when I stood up and walked it was really quite sharp and painful and some pressure and got worse over time. I rang the MW who said it sounds like positional pain due to Phoenix changing positions. I'm to rest and watch it and ring if I have any other symptoms like belly tightenings, bleeding or reduced baby movement. The pain is definitely better today although I get occasional acute jabs in the same place which don't feel good. I didn't think the uterus has nerve endings so I am assuming s/he is hitting an organ outside.

I feel washed out, grumpy and tired for the first time this trimester. Also a little nervous about the pain. I also feel constipated although I don't think I am, it just doesn't 'feel' very healthy ATM.

Phoenix is moving plenty, and giving me sharp kicks all over the place, so I have no idea which position s/he is in.

I can't find a comfortable position to sit or lie down in, so am moving around a bit to get comfy.
    Any advice, ideas?
    xx

    I feel your pain!
You can try crawling on all fours to 'change' bubs position.
DD2 was always in odd positions, causing me lots of pain. I trying laying on my left hand side, crawling on all fours, sitting on fitball bouncing

Good luck hope bubs moves for you xoxo

ETA maybe try some benefibre to help pass the constipated feeling

Thanks Queen for your reply and suggestions. Phoenix has eased up today so no more pain, thank goodness.

Off to get a fit ball this week too.

Also with the fitball, try kneeling on the floor, leaning forward with your arms on the fitball. That might give you some relief as well.

I found that position awesome in labour too!
Glad the pains have eased up Dusty. Third trimester is no fun when it comes to bubs position. Pain, pain and more pain
