    a (possible TMI) discharge query

I haven't had a lot of discharge throughout my pg (lucky me) but recently (ie in the last 2-3 weeks) occasionally when I do have some discharge, it is a pale faint yellow. It's not all the time, sometimes it's just the regular whiteish colour. I don't see discharge very day, possibly every third day on average at the moment.

Query - should I worry and try & remember to ask my obs when I see her next or ring and get it checked anyway or just not worry about it? ( i forgot about it when I saw her last week )

Sounds pretty normal to me... mention it at your next appt anyway. I don't think you need to worry unless it's a bit whiffy kwim? yeah TMI

Is it thinner than usual? That might account for the slight colour difference.

It's actually there - that's the main difference for me (I know this bit is normal) I'm a little curious (rather than worried) about the colour - being pale yellow rather than white. It's seems to be about the same texture/thickness as normal.

    Hmm... hormone changes maybe?

Hormones are good for most things

i wouldnt worry - i have had the same thing before (though i have been getting a bit of discharge all the time).
it is prob hormonal chgs this close to the end (!!!) and could also be bits of your plug (last time mine came away gradually over a few weeks).
you could ask about it (it cant hurt to ask and be told it is all good) just to be sure... but i am sure it isnt anything to worry about at all.

Thanks everyone, it's reassuring that it seems to be normal and not to worry about it. Now just have to remember to mention it to the obs when I see her next week.

basically as long as it doesn't smell offensive you are normally right. if it smells it could indicate and infection which is needs to get checked out asap!
other obvious bad things are bright red blood or brown (old blood) along with any of the other things like pains and cramps.
but i think your right yellow to clear seems to be the usual colour of a "show"

Cool - I like the idea of my show happening - except don't want to have to head to hospital until at least Monday next week (car seats booked in then and I'll have started my mat leave)
