    Pre-labour?? TMI

    Hi everyone!

I have a question... I am not sure if I am hoping these signs are leading somewhere or if they actually might be!

I am 37wks today and for the past week I have had (TMI...sorry!) consistent bowel movements (everyday) and I have not been like that for I can't remember how long! Today I have been getting 'period like pain' all day and also some lower back pain which mainly seems to be on my left side. It feels as though it is pinching in. I get it sitting down and standing up and walking around! I went to the shops before and still was getting it! I haven't had anything else happen but the back pain seems to be a little stronger than this morning but the period pains are still the same 'strength'.

Does this sound like something may be starting to 'happen' or am I maybe being a bit too hopeful??

    Thanks for listening!

Good luck if it is, it wouldn't be unheard of at 37 weeks, (nor 35 Krist11)
But it could also just be the start of some pre labour stuff. has your bubs started engaging yet?

    Danielle

Fingers crossed that it is pre-labour!! I have been have constant bowel movements, sometimes 3 times a day, for weeks and weeks and they have been soft (sorry, tmi). I've been getting the period pain today as well (as you know!) but mine is gone now.

    Good luck!!!

hi, all the best for your upcoming birth!

it sounds like pre-labour.. these are very similar to symptoms i had for 10 days prior to labour with my son..

Thanks everyone! I have still been getting these niggles today but not as often. I have dropped a bit so I am thinking maybe those pains were from bubs moving down?!?

I take back what I said before! Pains have started to come more often again now... bubs head seems to keep hurting me down there! Ouch!

I know how that feels! Like they are headbutting your cervix? It's quite painful at times.

I've told mine that if he/she wants out, all they have to do is rip that sack around them, and mummy will get them out.

It doens't seem to be working.

Sounds like the start of pre-labour. I had this and then had contractions on and off for 4 days before I had my DD............

No, no more pains Just pains from bubs head being further 'down there'. Just read your post though in our BB group and I am feeling like you... very emotional and I keep fighting with DH!

    *snap!*

You should have been here for the argument that DH and I just had. And of course it centres around his damn mother and when she's coming from interstate to see the baby.

    Long story..............

Keep that one for another day and another thread.

Aww - I hope the emotions are a sign of prelabour also. Because it all sounds pretty promising to me. I have had period pain for a few weeks now, but last time, I only had it for a few days before going into labour - so this may be it for you!
