I took prednisolone when I was pregnant for asthma. If you're unsure though don't take it until you speak to a dr or phamicist.

Hope you feel better soon A.

I called the hospital and they said what I thought. Don't take it until I've seen a dr. Great now I'm just in tears

Prednisolone is a steriod so I would be careful taking it whilst pg without talking to your doc. Poor thing a sore back is the worst.

Prednisone/prednisolone may be a steroid, but I believe that it's not one that crosses the placenta.

For what it's worth, I was on prednisone right through my pregnancy, but never more than 10mg per day. It's often used to treat some conditions which cause miscarriage.

I know what I'd do if it were me, but certainly don't want to pressure you into doing something you're not comfortable with.

Hugs hun I hope your pain has settled for you.

As I said in chat it can wreck havic with sugar levels etc so you really need to see a Dr before taking.

See an osteo or physio or chiro (which ever floats your boat personally I love physio and osteo)

I had back pain at 37 weeks, couldn't walk also, had a Drs app that morning, really struggled, he said panadol, or panadine, heat pack, rest!!!! I know thats not much comfort, I just layed on the couch, then got up and would walk around for a bit, then lay again. I found if I layed too long it made things worse. I also got in the shower in baby pose, (yoga), I think thats whats its called and let the warm to hot water run on my lower back, it was really good if you can get in the shower. Or maybe a bath with some Radox muscle soak?? Good luck, hope you fell better today.
