Ok so sorry for TMI, but I have a question. After a day of pains and nausea I thought to check what was happening and I am pretty sure that I am dilated a bit. I wasn't a few days ago and obviously I can't be sure how much. The other thing is that it felt like I could feel bubs head.
I should mention that I was in the assessment unit a couple of weeks ago and they said I was having some contractions but they weren't causing me to dilate at that point.
Is this normal for 35 weeks. Does it mean things are happening or is it something that just happens?
I dilatd early but I had pregnancy issues (preeclampsia symptoms). They thought iwas BSing when I said i hadn't had back pain and refused gels prior to induction. mind you I had a no drug labour with many giggles I think more to a lovely MW.
It isn't uncommon to dilate earlier with 2nd+ pregnancies.
If you think you are, my advice is to not go poking around up there... you don't want to irritate it if that is infact what's happening. Worth mentioning at your next appt to.
Thanks Kylza I think I might do that. Its weird its just like I don't feel right since yesterday, but I really don't feel like spending the day at the hospital.
Mum2ramone- I think some of them are BH as they aren't painful, but then there are others here and there that are pretty painful. When I was at the hospital last time the obstetrician told me that BH shouldn't be painful they should just be tightenings.
My whole body feels really fatigued, which it shouldn't as DF looked after DS this morning so I could get some extra sleep.
If you don't feel 'right' definitely go and get checked out!! 35 weeks is a good gestation, but it's still too early to be born and if something is happening they have a chance to stop it before it gets full-on.
