I was seeing a natropath when I got pregnant, and she made me a tonic at 8 weeks which I discovered had raspberry leaf in it. I stopped taking it as soon as I found out as I thought it wasnt' safe. That's when i did some research and asked some questions and was told that alot of women have rasp leaf from early pregnancy. However it is not recommended if there is a risk of miscarriage.
I then started taking it again at 32 weeks (just didn't feel safe taking it throughout) and at 35 weeks my midwife told me I shouldn't have started at 32 weeks, it's too early, but I think that's just to cover themselves if something happened. I took it from then and had bub 8 days early and a 1 hour 54 min labour. I would not put this down to RLT though! I think Coco was just ready!
So to be on the safe side, midwives recommended 36 weeks. I however was quite happy starting at 32 weeks and I actually felt so good as there's quite a bit of iron in RLT. xo
