    Quick question...

Sorry to be asking what is probably a silly question, but my tailbone hurts and I was wondering if it could be anything serious?
I've also been doing quite a few numbers 2s (sorry for the tmi) and most of them have been very diahorrea like (again, sorry for the tmi)
I've just gone 30 weeks today... Any suggestions???

It could just be the way you've been sitting/laying/sleeping. As long as you arent getting any cramps, tummy pains or anything you should be fine. But def give the hospital a call

Thanks Sally. I've not really sat down much today (or lately actually) which is what had me wondering. The only pain i'm getting is the same pain i have been getting since about 10 weeks which is on my right hand side - the rib area anyway is getting so much sorer when i sit down (the reason why i'm not sitting down much) - if any of that makes sense

Just a quick update - The pain in my tailbone is still here, but slightly less than before - I do, however, have the worst pain underneath my ribs (mentioned in the post above)
It's there for a minute or two, then gone for a minute then back again.. It's been happening since 1:30am last night and it's honestly frustrating! I was up at 1:30am, 2:10am, 2:26am, 3:01am, 3:46am, 4:21am, 4:46am, 5:50am, 6:22am and 6:53am before DHs alarm going off at 7am for work. Since the 1:30am wake up, this pain has been nonstop.
I've done housework all over the place to see if that makes it better but it basically just stays the same - I'm always in pain and it's driving me insane!
The pain is that bad that I had to txt my MIL and she came down and helped me with washing and dishes and such

Poor LJ, hope you get some relief from it all soon. Unfortunately I don't know what it is but just wanted to let you know that I have a sore tailbone too, just these past few days and it is really annoying!

    Hope you feel better soon

LJ - sore tailbone can be associated with sciatica or pelvic girdle pain, which is more common later in preg. Espec if it's worse when you're sitting. It's because all your weight presses down on it. Make sure you mention it to your ob, because if it gets to a certain point, then they may prefer to do a c-sec as you can break your tailbone in labour (nice, hey )

Re: diarrhoea, do you have any other lower back pain, cramping or tightenings? If so, I'd call the hosp / your midwife as occassionally these things can be a sign of pre-labour.

I'm not meaning to stress you out, so please don't panic, but it's better to be safe than sorry, so it will make you feel a lot better to make the call. They don't think anyone is being silly.

    Take care

yeah i was thinking the same thing, could just be your posture, being 30 weeks, bubba is getting big, and im nearly 29 weeks and have had similar aches and pains around the hips, tail bone area too
