I took the tablets from 32 weeks with both my pregnancies. I forgot a lot of times in my first pregnancy and my labour was long with a 15 minute pushing stage.
My second pregnancy I took them religiously and had a less than 5 minute pushing stage.
From my understanding raspberry leaf helps with making the contractions a lot more efficient and strengthens the uterine muscles making the pushing stage a lot shorter and easier on the body. Certainly seemed to work for me.
I took tablets from 34 or 36 weeks (can't remember!!) with DD. I had no pushing stage- she moved down and crowned in one contraction and I gave a little (fart sized) push to see what would happen and her head shot out.
I started at 34 weeks as well on the tablets. It depends on the brand as to how many you are supposed to take. Umm the only ones I could find were 'Herbs of Gold' online, natures own have stopped making them I think. You only need to take 2 tablets once a day of the 'Herbs of Gold' ones too, some of the others were lots more multiple times a day.
