Talk to your midwife or ob 1st but now is good for most people. start with 1 cup a day and work your way up to 3 or 4.
This is such an exciting time for you. Congrats hun
My midwife and obs both told me to start taking them around 32 weeks. I bought the tablets and I think it says on the box not to take them before 32 weeks anyway because of contra-indications. I think they are fine to start taking them now My midwife said it can take up to a month for them to start having an effect on the body anyway.
I started both tea & tablets at around 33 - 34 weeks.
Keep in mind that they won't induce labour, they are to tone the uterus. If you were for any reason at risk of pre-term labour I would tread carfeully; otherwise you should be fine to start now.
I started taking the tablets around 32 weeks then got stuck into the tea - heavily - at 38 weeks. I went into spontaneous labour the next day actually, at 38+5 I think the RL honestly helped a lot with my labour.
As Fleur said, RLT doesn't induce labour and you're only as risk of early labour if it's already a risk factor.
I started drinking the tea at 35 weeks but my BH's increased in strength, duration and regularity, so I put it off until 38 weeks. I found it really helped my uterus get itself going but that doesn't happy with everyone else. I ended up drinking the rest of the tea after birth as it was great for increasing my milk supply.
I've gone into spontaneous labour at 37+5 & 38 weeks with both my DS's maybe i shouldn't start till 37weeks - wonder if i would be classed as at risk!? Might get some anyway for after the delivery to help with milk production though.
