I bought some RLT today from the health food store! Going to go and brew some up now and give it a shot with some honey in it!

So for the tea leaves that i got, how many cups a day should I be having girls? 3-5 cups?

I just can't stomach drinking that many cups of raspberry leaf, which is why I'm going the tablets, i'm already drinking nettle tea and dandelion tea, so it would be all a bit much for me.

Interestingly ladies I just called my Obs' rooms and spoke to the midwife, who spoke to my Obs and called me back - she doesn't want me to start taking RLT until 35 weeks as it can bring on labour

    So I guess I'll wait a bit!

You've been misinformed. It cannot, and does not bring on labour.

Speak to some herbalists, they will give you the correct information.

I am also informing myself about RL at the moment and checking out what is available as I really disliked the tea last time, and could never drink enough to reach the recommended amount.

I was recently reading on another forum about Blackmores changing their label, and now their recommended dosage is 3 tablets 5-6 times a day (it is up on their website too). That's 15-18 tablets a day!! Anyway, it seems that they say this much because the recommended max dosage per day is 2.4g, and their tablets are only 300mg.
I have done a bit of searching and found that other brands that have RL tablets (in Aus) are Natures Own (500mg), Herbs of Gold (2g tablet) and Natures Sunshine (360mg).
I think I shall take the Herbs of Gold, it is very cheap in comparison to Blackmores and only 1-2 tabs per day!

i bought some RLT tea bags from a health food shop and they where $5.50 for 25, so i bought two packs, i've had two cups today and found that i need a little honey in it (i normaly HATE tea btw!) but i think its a good way to keep the liqwards up!

as for the RLT what put me off was a) i could only find blackmores you had to take a lotta tablets (and my preg brain atm it wouldn't happen!) and the price was a little for what it was worth..plus i feel a little better knowing im drinking the leaf tea becuase its not been modafied as such to make into a tab...lets see if it helps!

I've been drinking 2-3 cups of RLT a day (the real tea leaves) and I enjoy it!!

I've noticed since I've started it about 10 days ago, that I've had more BH's and more period type pains too.... so something is happening down there!!

Justin is great Jols! He will give you some herbs once you start at 35 weeks- it's GROSS! but worked for me - all my prelabour started after my first session with him and my cervix softened - probably from the herbs! He told me to stop taking the RLT once I started the chinese meds ones because they do the same thing but his ones have 13 different ones in it! Maybe take them til you see him again!

    Hi Tan,
What were the chinese meds that you had?
