I'm 34+4wk, have a transverse bub, low placenta (1.7mm). This afternoon I had Braxton hicks. Then around 6pm I went to pick something off the floor and got a stabbing excruciating pain from my belly to my vagina. It hung around and intensified if I tried to bend over at all. I've had back pain continuously since. My BH have gone but I still have pain in my low abdominal area, and vagina. I feel like I have tightenings deep inside tummy and low but not contractions where whole belly is tight. Have been laying down after hot shower for over an hour.
Thanks, I rang the hospital, I'm about 45mins from them. She was concerned because of baby position and then placenta. Have taken pandadine and have an hour for it to settle and go to sleep, if it hasn't I have to go in.
I had sharp pains right hand side down low with this last pregnancy. When I asked my midwife she said its common to get sharp ligament pain as pregnancy progresses. If something is wrong she said the pain generally continues to increase and can't be ignored.
Things settled down last night, still had tummy tightenings when I got out of bed through the night a couple of times. I can't believe how intense the pains were. This morning I've woken with what seems to be a chest infection and a bit of asthma. I never had any indication of this yesterday. The countdown period to baby arrival sucks!
