I have had a pretty normal pregnancy so far, all my other pregnancy's were all on time never too early the earliest was 5 days early. On tuesday i went to the loo and wiped and found a blob of mucas with 2 strips of blood and one small blob of blood. I had been having period pain for the last 24 hours so I called the hospital freaking out a bit as i am only 30 weeks!!!!! The midwife asked me if I have felt the baby move. I was busy and had not really felt too much movement so she told me to lay down and rest for an hour and eat a cup of ice to get bubs to move and then call her back and tell her how i am going. I laid down and rest for an hour and ate a cup of ice and yes bubs moved HEAPS!! I was still having some pain, Not labour pain i know the difference this is my 4th baby. I told her that i know i was not in labour i was just worried that the show i had would be the start of labour. I have only ever had one show at home before with my second son and my waters broke the next day!!!!! She told me to come and and get checked to make sure everything was fine. So off i went to the hospital!!!
I get there they are really busy, i get put into a room and wait and wait and wait!!!! The midwife comes i do a urine test to check for infection and then puts a monitor on my belly to see if i was contracting!!!! HELLO i could of told them that i am not contracting. So the dr comes in and says well you are not contracting we will do a spectulim and get a swab to see if your waters have broken!! HELLO i know my waters have not broken i just had some mucas with blood on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway he does it and comes back no your waters have not broken!!!!!!!!
I then told him that i was worried that the show means i will go into labour!!! He tells me that there is only a very slim chance i will go into labour!!!! Then tells me that sex could of stirred me up enough to have the show. I had not DTD for atleast 3 days!!!!
They sent me home none the wiser!!!

I am still really worried that i will go into labour early!!
What are the chances it is just nothing so not really a show and my pregnancy will carry on!!
I have not had anymore pain, just feelings of stretching or scrapping right down there, i feel the baby is low.
Has this happened to anyone and else?

There's a few people here who have lost their plugs really early and nothing happened. Apparently they can grow back. Hey, you might get *two* shows

Oh you poor thing, how stressful for you. I can't really answer your question, but it does sound a bit scary. Regardless of what they've said, maybe you should try and rest amap. Having had two prems, hearing stories like yours always make me nervous, although that's possibly just me being paranoid . Hang in there, try to rest, and make sure you go to the hossy if there's anything that you think isn't normal.

LMK it happened to me over the weekend, but it was with some strong BH too, it finally eased off after a couple of days. I haven't lost any more of my plug and the BH have eased. I saw my ob and he was happy with me. I am the same as you, I need to hang in there for a few more weeks too to be at my chosen hospital.

Thanks everyone else i am trying to take it easy, It stresses me even more to think how unorganised i am, i have not packed bags, bought nappies, bottles just in case!!!!
I hope that it is nothing and I go all the way!!!!

I had my first 3 weeks early. My parents were collecting baby stuff at *their* house, 400km away. So I had literally no baby stuff at my house, I didn't have a hospital bag packed, and DD#1 ended up coming home from the hospital in hospital-supplied clothes. My parents got me my toothbrush, change of clothes etc when they came up, so everything worked out in the end. Its not like they send someone out to your house while you're in labour and won't let you have the baby unless you have a fully-equipped nursery

Write a list of what you need, and put a few things in your bag at a time. Have you thought about shopping online? I use Coles online and its a lifesaver, you would be able to get the nappies and bottles straight to your door withour having to take all the kids and worry about doing too much running around.

I know and understand that everything will fall into place, my sil would do everything i just know she would, BUT i am an organised person, a bit OTT i am the person who NEEDS TO BE ORGANISED!!! LOL

I totally understand hun. Totally. But TBH, if you have your baby soon, the last thing on your mind will be organising stuff! Having said that, it is nice not to have to worry about organising things while your bub is in NICU/SCN, so if you can slowly get things together that might be good. If nothing else, you will feel better for being organised
