This you have to get used to.

In the same day I've had one person tell me how tiny I was, the next told me it looked like I was having TWINS. Der

Me too I think sometimes people comment just for the sake of commenting!
If all your checks with the doc/midwife/scans have been fine I wouldn't worry.

I think too when people say you look small they're just trying to be nice in telling you that you don't look like an enormous whale! I would try to take it as a compliment!
But it's true - pregnancy is like having an idiot magnet on your head - so many people feel compelled to say something stupid to your face and think nothing more of it.
    Pff.
It could well be if you are indeed measuring small that it is genetic - small father could indeed be the reason for a small baby - but that's no indication that there's any problem.
I'd be more worried if your husband or partner was a giant... hello, where's my pain relief.

I get conflicting comments all day...
"you sure there's only one in there?" is followed by "gee you're so tiny!" is followed by "still 9 weeks to go? Are you joking?" is followed by "you're very petite".

Sooo many things can influence the size of your bump -
The tightness of your tummy muscles, whether your uterus tilts forward or sits deep within your abdominal cavity, how much amniotic fluid you have, the list goes on.
Don't worry sweetie, you will be a perfect 29 weeks size for you.

I got the opposite, so just shows idiots will comment regardless, they just can't help themselves. Unfortunately it doesnt stop

all the way thru my pregnancy people were saying i was little, in the last few weeks people were telling me i would go late for sure as i hadn't dropped or whatever (i started to not listen i just heard blah blah lol) they also said i'd be lucky if my baby was 6 pound and how good the birth would be with a little bub. (since when is any birth easy lol)
Well the truth was i did not go late (1 day late doesn't count) and my DS was 8pound 8 so not exactly small.
The moral of my little story hun is try not to let it bother you, your body will be growing your baby perfectly and i'm sure your dates won't be mixed up.
Good luck all the best for the rest of your pregnancy xxx

Hi first time mummy. I was also repeatedly told the same thing. In fact when I was 12 days overdue, people didn't believe that I was about to have the baby.

My midwife even told me that based on my measurements, I was going to have a small baby and he came out at 4kg. I wouldn't worry too much about what people are saying. Hopefully if you don't get too big it will be easier to lose the weight later?

You should be fine if you rely on the ultrasounds etc.
