I was just seeing if this has happened to anyone else?
I am 32 weeks and just spent 4 days in hospital with incrediable pain in my lower stomach and to my right side. i had 3 nights on really strong pain killers and now since been home i am only allowed to move around if i need to get a drink, toliet etc or i will have to go back to hospital.
My doctor said i will be like this till birth, i dont want people to feel sorry for me but i keep thinking why me??? i spent the 1st 4 months with my head in the loo 4 times a day. I guess some people have nice pregnancys and others dont.
please let me know if anyone has been thru this and if anything helped them???
I'm guessing your stomach muscles have separated? It is quite common to have happen. Maybe you could look into getting a belly bra to support your stomach?
I have had a tough pregnancy too, (i have had two weeks that i actually enjoyed) so i empathise with you. I currently have a DRAM, which is seperation of the tummy muscles. The pain is pretty nasty when i am not leaning back resting.
I saw a physio who gave me a Tubigrip belly band (an elasticised tubal bandage that goes from under my breasts to my hips). Wearing this helps enormously, and means i can get around without hugging a pillow. They also showed me some exercises that can help.
Have you seen a physio? I brought the pain up with the midwife and physician, but neither gave me any suggestions of what it was or what i could do. The physio diagnosed it within a few minutes of me explaining and her examining me.
Oh hun, sorry you're feeling like this. I've just hit the 30 week mark on the weekend and for the last few days I've noticed that when I cough or sneeze, the top of my ribcage is really sore. I got this sort of pain at around 19 weeks and ended up in hossy, they told me that it was probably the muscles separating. The pain was so bad!! Anyway, it only happened once, but I've noticed my belly is really starting to sit up a lot more so I'm guessing it's those muscles again.
I hope your situation improves but try and be easy on yourself, our bodies go through so much in pg. Just think about that beautiful bub you'll be holding in a few weeks time!
As Kate said, the tubigrip is fantastic, it helps to support the muscles.
I hear ur pain , iv had a really tough one as well
They thought i had an ectopic pregnancy as i was in hospital at week 6 with bad pains and cramping, i ended up having 3 major dr's look at my scans to decide if the pregnancy could go ahead as baby was implanted high
I had cramping through most of my pregnancy , ended up having about 7-8 scans all up..
Iv had morning sickness and vomiting the whole way through- now i have the worst heatburn ever with rib pain , and i have pelvic girdle pain( which is hip and pelvis pain that sends pain down ur legs as well)
Did ur Dr tell u what it was? as i would want to know why i was pn bed rest and what was causing the pain?
Im not sure what it is from ur ionformation- its not fun i know- and dont worry u can say 'why me' as much as u want i do.. some women have it tough and some breeze through
I am a stresser but before i was so busy with work and we have just moved i really did not think about all the body changes i am going thru. now i am worrying about everything because i just sit at home and can not do anything.
Shell1- my doctor said i tore the muscles in my stomach and down my right side, i seen her yesterday and she said that coz bub is sitting all on my right hand side that the muscles are taking a beating.
thanks again
i have got a belly support which i have started wearing as of today so cross my fingers that it may help a bit.
I have just popped in as curiosity got the better of me and from reading what I have read omigod you pooor things! This has not happened to me but it sounds agonizing!!
