    Strange Feeling 'Down There'

    Hi Guys,

I'm sorry for this post, also cause it's about my 3rd post today with my oddball questions, and this one might take the cake.

I'm not even sure how to explain this....does anyone ever get a kind of heavy feeling literally down there. Where it feels like the blood has rushed there and everything feels swollen? So you can almost be walking and have a concious awareness of 'down there' cause you can feel it as you walk.

Does this make any sense whatsoever? My apologies.

I think it makes sense, and I think I'm getting the same sensations. I've been getting pains in my pubic area, but its hard to say exactly where, and its definately noticeable when i walk, or say, I open my legs wide (eg getting in and out the car). As far as I know, its due to the weight/pressure of bubs. hth

    Hi Jules
I seem to be talking about your "bits" alot today.
The heavy feeling is probably caused by swelling due to an increase in the blood supply to the area. Baby could in so0me cases also contribute to this feeling. Don't worry its quite normal

    Jules,

I have the same odd feeling in my "bits" which I don't remember happening from my first pregnancy. Its very weird and a bit off putting I must say!!! I also have an "achy" feeling in mine, can't quite describe it, but I used to get it a few times when AF was visiting... very strange to feel it now!!!! DH has been.. investigating the area for me and has confirmed that it feels much different now than it did a few months ago... things are starting to warm up me thinks!!!!!!

BTW - haven't seen you in belly buddies thread for ages!!!!!

    Hi Mel

Yeah i went through a time where i was just flat out at work and didn't really have time to post much. I've been circulating around and checking in every now and again, but now that I've only got 3.5wks of work left (Woo Hoo!!!) and have delegated to some other people, I have a bit more time up my sleeve and find that my focus has really shifted from work to all things baby - especially now that we're getting into the last months.

I'm excited and nervous and scared all at the same time.

    How have you been?

Jules - been pretty good. Still working - think I have about 6 weeks to go (working up till 4th July) so will always be tired until then.. lol
Its pretty cool that we are going through the same things - makes you feel not so freaky..

    Absolutely!

You're doing better than me working till the 4th. For some reason i have this thing in my head that I'm going to come early (i know it's not likely for a first) but it's just that feeling I have. I might be very wrong, but I do want to have a couple of weeks up my sleeve to be home and get things organised and have some 'me' time before life changes.

    so yep - I'm back!

You never know.. you may go early!!!!! As you can imagine, I'm hoping to go as close to my due date as possible, but during the week so I can be sure that my OB will be on call for me instead of being on the weekend when I could get one of the other OB's that do weekend share with her.. ..lol

All very important issues of course!!!!

and, believe it or not, its much more relaxing for me to be at work than at home with a teething DS!!!! lol
