stretchmarks are genetic, that doesn't mean that everyone in the family will get them however (they may or may not carry the gene). i have a crap load of stretchmarks, my little sister also has quite a few - mum never got any (and she had six kids), no one on her side of the family ever got stratchmarks. on my fathers side however, they all have strachmarks, even the men. angelica will undoubtedly end up with strechmarks too, as both myself and my husband have them.

and don't worry all stretchmarks fade eventually - the skin will always be a different texture, but the colour will diminish - although the rate at which the red / purple colour dies down varies from person to person and stretchmark to stretchmark.

on a side note,no cream or oil has ever been proven to reduce the liklihood of stretchmarks or get rid of them - but if you still want to try any, they certainly cann't hurt.
