    Yeah in this humid weather of Brissy the feet swelling is the worst..
    Ive only just noticed it on myself. I have a pair of slip on shoes that used to gape at the sides when I walked and now they fit quite snugly! Lucky I held on to them

    I had swollen feet and ankles & for a while putting them on the armrests of the couch with my head low helped but after a while nothing at all helped.

    One thing I will warn all you ladies against who have this particular problem is having a bath with no-one else in the house. I got stuck in my bath at at around 8 months as my ankles which were full of fluid could not support the rest of my body as I tried to lift myself out of the bath. My DF had to get me out & I sware it felt like my ankles were going to snap. If I'd been home alone I would've had to just sit there til he got home. Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that one.

    I swell at the end of the day especially when it has been warm. Lying down, drinking water, and walking around during the day do seem to help somewhat. The heat is the worst thing for it though.

    I've had swelling in my feet since pretty much the beginning of the pregnancy and my hands started swelling up at around 30weeks.

    Over the past week this has caused Tendonitis to develop in my wrists which is quite painful. My wrists feel like they keep dislocating. This morning my wrist bones kept popping out of the sockets while showering, i ended up in tears screaming out for hubby and i had to get him to wash my body so embarrassing. I feel like an invalid!

    I kinda wonder if i could have prevented it if i'd taken it a little easier over the past few months.....

    So take it easy girls - you don't want tendonitis!!

    Sorry I was so long in getting back to the thread. Thanks for all the replies. The swelliing has gone down a bit and not as much of problem atm. I am still drinking heaps of water, so I hope that is helping also.

    Try dandelion tea, it is helpful, as is nettle tea, and they are both full of vitamins and minerals as well.

    If I start puffing up I drink a few cups for a few days, and it sorts me out beautifully

    resting with feet up and wrapped in cold flannels is good.

    Also watermelon is a diuretic (removes fluid) but be very careful if you have GD as watermelon is also a bit high in sugar.
