Being close to 34 weeks pregnant with bub #3, I am fully aware that this is part and parcel of being pregant. I am now finding it rather uncomfortable and is slowing me down a bit.
I am drinking approx 1-2 litres of water a day, I have been told that this would help flush out my system, I have also tried lying dow with my feet raised above head level to try and counter act the swelling. MY blood pressure throughout has been perfect.
Does anyone have some tips that can help? All advice gratefully received. Thanks
Unfortunately i cant offer any advice, but i do know how u feel.
From about 30 weeks with Bodhi my hands & feet swelled right up. All my rings had to come off. My fingers looked like those little chipolate sausages. Even wearing thongs the rubber around the toes would cut into my feet-----i was barefoot most of the time.
i hope that someone can help u out with it.
I think its pretty inevitable for many people in pregnancy. I too had swollen hands from about 32 weeks, and swollen feet from about 35 or so weeks. I had to take off my rings and buy a new pair of shoes fro work so my fat feet could fit in my shoes.
My midwife told me its pretty standard and said to just try to take it easy and put my feet up when I get an opportunity.

I have very swollen feet, calves, knees, hands, wrists. My blood pressure is perfect though.
The obstetric physician I saw (not an ob/gyn) said that there is not much that will help during pregnancy. I can't even fit those ugly crocs on my feet anymore. It is impossible !
The only thing I have found is soaking my feet in icy water, or a lot of rest.
Yeah in this humid weather of Brissy the feet swelling is the worst..
Ive only just noticed it on myself. I have a pair of slip on shoes that used to gape at the sides when I walked and now they fit quite snugly! Lucky I held on to them
