Hi , I can totally sympathise, mine developed into a varicose vein that bled. What Maz said about putting something cold on it helps. I used to have a lay down and put a cold pack over the top of my panties(not inside, tooo cold!) and it woudl releive the pain. PLus just keep your legs up as much as you can, and DONT SQUAT! it puts extra pressure on it.

As soon as baby is born you will find it miraculously disappears.

    Goodluck.

    Hi Kellsbells
As everyone has said it is normal and will not have any effect on your ability to push baby out. Resting may help you could also make some frozen fingers by filling condoms with water. These fingers can then be put inside a pad by making a small hole in the lining. The cold from the ice can help with the swelling.

Thanks everyone. I feel better about it now. I have been resting lots and putting my feet up when possible during the day. It's not really uncomfortable enough to ice it but I'm excited to know it goes away so quickly after birth.
