I've had another night of diarrhea and vomiting. Today I'm breathless even though I haven't moved from the couch. My nose hasn't cleared all day, where usually it unblocks not long after I get up. My back is sore and my belly is giving me all over crampy feelings, plus sharp pings of pain. I'm so incredibly tired, like I could just close my eyes and I'll doze off, but I was also up until 4am this morning
I don't know if this is prelabour or not, but I feel like **** and want to entertain myself with the thought that there isn't long to go.
I know a lot of people get an upset tummy beforehand; like you, I had strong period-type cramping and back pain (usually in the wee hours). Terrible insomnia all through the last month but then a couple of great sleeps just before my waters broke. Body must have been storing up energy.
I hope you manage to get some rest and take care of yourself. Good luck!!
Buffy - The insomnia has hit here too. Seems to be every second night, anywhere between 2 and 4am. It sucks. Not much going on BB at that time of night
MG - The irony hey?
Arcadia - Four more days after strong contractions??? Nooooooo......!
with dd1 and dd2 I had the runs and had a baby within 24rs, that was it for prelabour
With dd3 I had prelabour for about two weeks. Lots of BH's, the runs, was losing plug for ages, couldnt sleep. My midwife said its pretty normal for third bubs to have lots of pre labour.
I had fairly straightforward labours with all three, about 6-7 hours active labour with each so the extra prelabour didnt make it quicker although I only pushed for 3 minutes with dd3 so that was quicker and she was almost 1kg heavier than dd3
I didn't have nausea but for weeks I had strong braxton hicks, mild cramping and extremely intense pressure low in my pelvis - because bub was engaged for a long time. But then I went five days overdue!
Actually I lie - I just read one of my own prelabour threads and two days before my labour started I did have nausea - during the night. Your LO might be getting ready for take off!
