My scan went well this morning - baby is measuring very much on the large side though but I don't think it is too concerning as he is big all over (his head circumfrence is already 33cm!!!). My appointment with the Ob was cancelled this morning so it is either going to be rescheduled for Thurs this week or next Tuesday. All is looking good on the scan though. I am still having lots of tightenings, some with a bit of pain but I think they are only BH. I am thinking of it as doing all the work now and hopefully will have an easier labour later ... if I am allowed to go into labour.
I had a c/section last time due to footling breech baby and if this baby gets too big, the Ob has already said that he doesn't want to induce him because of the risk so they will be looking at another c/section. I was really against the idea of another c/section (and still am to a degree) but I found it very confronting hearing someone say all of the risks of a VBAC to me. I know they have to let me know to cover themselves, and I had read all the info, but it is scary when he said it to me about my baby. At this stage, DH and I have decided to make no decisions about what we want to do and just wait and see what all the test results say, what the doctors say and make our decisions about what we want to do based on the info they give us. The doctor did suggest last time that if baby's growth didn't slow, they would be thinking c/section at 36 weeks. DH and I aren't overly comfortable with this either and would prefer to wait an extra week so baby would be full term but again, we are just waiting to see at the moment. So I guess we will be discussing all of that at my next appointment as well. I just want to do the best and safest thing for my baby, I just don't know what that is at the moment.
