ETA: I've heard you can lose bits of plug for a while with no real drama as it can regenerate, can happen for weeks apparently. The concern is if it is large or contains blood - then it is possibly a "bloody show", which indicates labour could be imminent.

As for my definition of rest: lying on the couch. Doing nothing. Nigh on impossible for most mums I think
