    transverse bub - turning him

    Hi there,

My little bub is usually transverse and rarely in the usual head down position. I'm waiting for an ultrasound next week to see if my low laying placenta has lifted, if not the transverse position is probably related to that.

Anyhow, in the meantime I looked up Spinning Babies and found an inversion which can help. I kneel on the couch with my forearms resting on the floor and hold for about 30 secs. The problem is that I feel a lot of pressure in my face and when I get up bub is moving around like crazy. I'm not sure if I'm distressing or harming him.

Has anyone tried this type of inversion or have any insight into if this exercise could harm or cause him distress?

    Hi Lisa

You will not harm your baby by doing this. You may also want to google rebozo. I have had some sucess turning baby using this

I did the inversions, Lisa and had no problems! Bubs was posterior rather than transverse and did move around the right way. I recommend them and they do get more comfortable as you do them more. Good luck!

    Hi there,

Thanks for your responses. I thought I would just give an update. I've just come back from my ultrasound and was told that bub is now head down and engaged. The placenta has risen to just above the acceptable level. I think he might not be straight on in his position because I feel the kicks to the side rather than under the ribs. Anyhow, a great start!!!

Great! Don't worry about being to one side, that's perfect!
