    Tummy pains and Back ache

    Ok,

sooo I havent been feeling braxton hicks or at least I am not aware of it.

Yesterday I started getting a really deep lower back pain, now I am prone to back pain, but this feels really deep and unusual for me.

I had a bad night tossing and turning with siatica and just general uncomfortable-ness. Then today I have tummy pains, feels like low down mild period pains and of course I have the back pain to go with it.

There is no heat in my back, which makes me assume its not a inflamation or muscle strain.

I am begining to freak out, as I am so not ready to have this baby as yet..

when should I worry?? I don't want to worry about labour when I dont even have to.

    Hi DD
Sounds like it could be braxton Hicks or even prelabour. Don’t worry, I have known prelabour to start 3 weeks before labour started. The other thing that could be causing your back pain is the size of your tummy. When your tummy gets bigger your centre of gravity changes and causes you to put more strain on your back muscles

Hi DD... Sorry to hear that you are having so much pain hun.... I have had constant back pain and sciatica as well... I called the delivery sweet and they told me to use heat packs and take some panadol... it got worse so I went in and they gave me what they call some tubie grip (splg), and its like a big brown bandage that you were around your belly that will give you more stability and it does work... GL babe I hope you feel better - I understand how you feel I am still feeling it!!!

Well the period like pains eased off by the evening.. thank god for that, I have this mindset the period pains are evil pains.. LOL..

the backache was bearable by the evening, I have to go food shopping so lets see how I am after all that waddling.

Baby seems to have really gone quiet, I cant say she is NOt moving cause she is but compared to a few days ago seems much much less... think iam just being paranoid now...

I keep poking her for reassurance, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't .. am I abusing my child? lol??

how much does there movement have to slow to start worrying ?

being that you have 4weeks to go i think bub wouldnt have very much room left to move and therfore movements tend to slow right down.
maybe write down the last time you feel her move and if you become concerned that she hasnt made any movements for quiet a while you could call your hosp or doc just to ask?

You should get 10 movements in a day. Even very small movements count. As Nickers said there is very little room for your baby to move now so the movements will be reduced
