update: been to the hospital, what do you think?

HI guys well after posting the other day i was in agony by nite time, regular contraction pain, and was being sick. Totally fed up, on the moniter it showed i was contarcting regulary, doctor came and done a internal examination and saif my cervix was soft, short, and slighty open 2cm, but i am not in labour as it would have to be at least 4 cm dilated, and told me not to worry! ive rested since, but today getting the awful pains back in my hips, down my legs, and very low down in my vaginal area like a dull ache, period ache, but i feel quite hyperactive today lol, so im going to try and take the kids for a light walk to the park, doc said i could be like it for another few weeks, but i dont feel like i can last another week! anyone else had simular situation? if so when did u deliver, its my 3rd child also got loads of babys head pressure. shes right head down. x

Lou, the fact that you were having regulat contractions sounds like a pretty good start to me. What the Dr should have said is that you aren't considered to be in "established labour" until you are 4cms dilated.

How many weeks are you ? All of the signs you are talking of sound like early labour to me hun.

Goodluck and be sure to let us know how you go

Sounds like the start of labour to me, i would say your not too far off, i would rest and take it easy, afterall you wanna rest as much as you can before your in labour. Good luck and i hope she stays in for a couple more weeks for ya

I don't think it'll be too much longer, but a couple more days at least would be good.
    Good luck.
