Lou, the fact that you were having regulat contractions sounds like a pretty good start to me. What the Dr should have said is that you aren't considered to be in "established labour" until you are 4cms dilated.
How many weeks are you ? All of the signs you are talking of sound like early labour to me hun.
hi thanks 4 the answer trish, im 35 weeks but already had 2 sets of steroids shots as had threatned prem labour ar 28 weeks aswell and uti. So hopefully would be ok, although i want my little girl to be healthy so would prefer to get to 37-38 weeks, do you think i will with these pains, irregular contractions and short soft cervix? 2 weeks ago when i was checked it was long, firm and closed, x
Sounds like the start of labour to me, i would say your not too far off, i would rest and take it easy, afterall you wanna rest as much as you can before your in labour. Good luck and i hope she stays in for a couple more weeks for ya
Lou, I would be hoping that bub stays put for a little bit longer, and yes this could go on for a little while. But by the sounds of your cervix etc, you are heading into labour. Then again, it could just all stop too.
Hoping your little girl gets another week or so inside your belly. If not, you have done a great job keeping her inside from 28 weeks. Try to rest as much as you can, hard with 2 other kiddies I know.
