Last night bubs was unusually active, very strong movements for about 2 hours with no break, this is unlike him, i was reaching the point of calling my m/w when he settled down. Did nothing out of the ordinary apart from having an upset bowel all of yesterday - just constant urge to go to the toilet as well, lots of pressure.
I know later in pregnancy babies can get frantic, it almost seemed like he was, he's okay now though, is this normal for this stage or a concern?
If it makes you feel better B, mine does the same thing... much more active than DS ever was.... think its got bloody bony elbows and knees too cos some of the movements are painful!!!!
But yeah, there's a party in my belly constantly and I'm not invited.. (although I do provide refreshments of chocolate and water ALL the time... )
I feel for you! Mine does that, last night I was in tears with how strong and frantic the movements were. It really hurt and I swear I'm bruised!!!!!! I am wondering the same thing... is it normal? My midwife reckons I have a lot of fluid which is why she can still go mental in there - lots of swimming room lol
B - our little one is very active too does somersaults and all in there... I'm pretty sure that it's normal, although she does settle down when I go to sleep but has always been a quiet baby when I'm sleeping.
Hey mummab, i'm not as far along as you, but I remember with dd, the day before I gave birth to her, I had this constant urge to use my bowels and and did a tonne of clearing out......do you think that this could be your body going into labor?
Good luck
Yeah thats what i'm feeling Mimitron, i can't always go but have the urge, and i am going frequently.
Also this kind of movement is abnormal for my baby, he has never moved constantly for 2 hours straight, so if it happens again i'll give the midwives a call.
My bubs is very active during the night wakes me a LOT!~!! My tummy aches from all the movements, which is really distressing.
I can tell you with DD3 she was very busy leading up to and during labour which I thought was strange, I always thought they got quiet, but apparently not so. I reckon it sounds like you may go into labour soon, and bubs knows it and is getting hyped up with the extra hormones, hence the differnt bowel movements.
