    Unhappy Vaginal pains?!!? Help!!

    Hi all,
Just a quick low down on me, i'm 25 first pregnancy 38 and a half weeks.....

I've been having these very VERY horrible shooting pains in my vagina, it feels like someone has kicked me 100 times and the pain wont go away, i cant walk properly without feeling sharp stabbing pains i think it might be my pubic bone
but its been going on alllllllll day... has anyone had this before?
Ive called the hospital and they told me not to worry, but the fact that i cant really move without such stabbing pain is worrying me alot.
    Any thoughts?

It sounds like you might have a touch of SPD, or possibly your cervix is starting to dilate a little in preparation for labour. In case it is SPD try and keep your knees together when getting up/into a car/our of bed, etc, and this should stop it getting any worse. If your cervix is starting to dilate then don't get too excited, labour could still be weeks away it is just your body getting ready.

ETA of course if you are worried then go and see your midwife

Yep had them!!! Sounds like your body getting ready to labour and they hurt big time... if it gets too much and you are super worried I would say go and see the hospital tomorrow morning, if you go tonight you will spend the night in emergency with sick peopleare you stil lfeeling movements??? if so just try and relax maybe awarm bath... goodluck its not very nice, first time it happened to me I felt physically sick and honestly thought I was in labour...it happened on and off for a few weeks with lots of serious BH pain as well before my baby girl decided to make her entrance.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick Traveller!
I had no idea about SPD i just looked it up and it seems to be what i have, Yet another joy of pregnancy!
I am hoping it is me dilating a little bit, in which case it gives me hope that this pregnancy will end!!

    Thanks again for the advise..

    Hey Blackduckies!!
I think if i still have the pain tomorrow then i'll go to the hospital, Yeah the baby is moving around a little bit. i'll be honest it hurts to much to get out of bed to even go to the toilet so having a bath as nice as it would be just aint going to happen.
Well i've been having the pain on and off for a few weeks but not like this... so maybe the big day is coming soon... weehaaaaa

    Thanks again for the reply!

A nice warm shower with the water beating down where you are sore might help if a bath is too much for you.
