Hi ladies

I have this too. I'm only 21 weeks preg - with twins! - and mine is the result of a recent fall, but it's so hard to get relief. And not sleeping just makes it so much harder to cope.

I am seeing a physio every other day and she is giving me a range of exercises to do at home to strengthen my core muscles (pelvic floor etc). She's also suggested to me some positions (on hands and knees like a cat, + leaning over a fitball) that take the pressure off the joints, so that has given some instant relief when needed.

She suggested that I try acupuncture, so I thought I might as well give it a go. I've had acu in the past (ttc) and the needles don't worry me so I will start some of that next week.

I've been using wheat packs, which are good for localised relief, and sleeping on my left side with a full length body pillow - the bottom half between my legs. But the last three nights have been hell.

I've also (gulp) taken panadol when it just gets too much. This helps. Somewhat.

I'm also wearing a sacro-iliac joint belt - like a wide elastic belt with velco tabs to pull it tighter. It's my best friend. It doesn't stop the pain but it does make me feel so much more secure.

Sorry not to have a magical answer, but there might be a few things there you could try if you haven't already.

Take care of yourselves.
