Mysti: baby's head could be blocking the way for anymore water to leak out. stay calm, your contractions will come when you are physically and mentally ready.

    Hi Mysti
Not long to go now hun. Everything sounds normal, you may get the occasional leak but you may also get nothing until labour has started.
    Good luck

    HI Mysti,

My waters started trickling at 38w and I waited two days before I called the hosp. (didn't realise the possibility of problems!). They told me to wait until I had soaked a pad in an hour. I wasn't leaking that much, so I waited another 8hrs or so before DH came home from work and I asked him to take me to hosp. even though my waters were still only trickling, the girls here on BB advised that I just go in for a check . When I got there they told me off for waiting so long!! I was induced by 7am that morning and bubs made her entry to the world the day after.

How exciting for you, wooohoooo!!!! Good luck I hope nature gets a move on!!

Just an update: I haven't had any progress whatsoever. No contractions, no more leaks. I'm beginning to wonder if this is going to happen at all! Its really frustrating. I go into the hospital tomorrow morning for a assessment. I was hoping to have my son by then! lol....oh well....time will tell.

Hi Mysti, how are you going today???
I would personally be inclined to stay home as long as possible, the risk of infection the hospitals talk about once your waters have broken is actually mostly due to them introducing germs into your vagina by doing examinations etc. Definately let them know what is happening, but try and relax too!!
Maybe you could go for a walk, and try some different things to try and get labour started.
    Good Luck!!!

I finally gave birth to my son Matthew on monday, after a 18 hour long labor! He is a gorgeous healthy boy, and weighed 7.5 pounds. I will write about the birth soon!
