OK, those are the two threads I was thinking of, but I'm afraid they won't be quite what you were asking about. They are both about checking how far dilated you are..... although, if you are wondering about early labour, that might be of interest to you too. If you think you are starting to efface and dilate, that would be something to let your midwife or ob know. Although I'm pretty sure that with your 2nd or 3rd baby, you can start to efface and dilate well before labour starts. But, at least you'd know whether anything was happening, or not.
