    What IS that!!

I am sure I am not the first nor will I be the last to ask this question.

Its been happening the last couple of days now. Just under the ribs under my right boob I get this kind of pressure. Its really uncomfortable and can make me a bit short of breath. When I feel firmly the spot its kind of hard and feels like my shoulders do when the muscles are tight (sorry no real way of describing it).

Its only on this one side. I have no idea if its bub or something else that has been squished out of place by Beanie. its such an odd sensation.

What could it be? A foot, a Bum, a something else ??

My money is on it being a gorgeous little foot being wedged up against your ribs from time to time. Always loved that part of pg

I hated this pain! Both my girl have done /are doing it
Its a real sharp pain for me. With Annabelle I was told it was a foot so I guess its the same with this princess.

Also I found if bubs is doing it at night sleep on your left side. Sux as I hate sleeping on my left but apprently after 20weeks we should be sleeping on our left side. Maybe this will help, also have a hot or really cold drink. This makes bubs move and hopefully replace their foot

ahhhh ok this makes a bit of sense now at least her feet are not ticklish at this stage coz she certainly does not move them when I rub the spot ... unless she thinks its a foot massage and leaves it there just so I keep rubbing her feet (gee she sounds more and more like her father )

    :yeahthat: LOL!

I think that sensation is only beaten by head butts and a irritating 'scratching' feeling near the cervix

I always joked that it was Jazz digging her way out

Which probably wasn't far from the truth

Lol, punches to the bladder & kicks to the ribs...& yeah, I swear mine poked my cervix!
I used to have to push DD1's feet out of my ribs, lol. The other 2 weren't as bad, she was a very stretchy baby!
I really do miss it too...

I used to make them move their foot by putting firm pressure against it and they nearly always obliged and moved it...... only to put it back there again 10 minutes later One day we will get our own back

It probably is just a foot ... ah the joys of being pregnant! But just in case it is something more serious, pain on your right side at the top of you abdomen near your ribcage can also be a sign of pre-eclampsia. Usually it is coupled with high BP and protein in your urine (which most GPs and Obs check for routinely at appointments) but it might not hurt to mention it to your GP or Ob at your next appointment just in case it is something a bit more serious than just a foot.

Sorry to rain on your parade a bit ... it sounds like it is just a foot, but I wanted to put this out there as a possibility so you have all your bases covered.

Ahhh I don't find the 'scratching' feeling annoying - unusual yes! I think of it as the baby trying to dig its way out. Can be pretty full on a times
