    Question What are these pains

Min started a thread describing her pain, and wondering if it was contractions. Which, it seems its not (thankfully) but, i have similar pain, getting worse sorta, and wondering what exactly it is....

Do they make you feel like you need to wee at all? Today when we were doing food shopping, I kept gettkind stabbing sort of burning pains really low down in my pelvis, almost felt like inside my vagina they were that low, and it would make me feel like I needed to wee. A couple of times they were quite strong and I had to stop walking and sort of bend over a bit and felt the need to cross my legs - got some rather odd looks!!
    Any ideas?

I cant say i noticed any pains at all with my first 2 but ive recently been noticing them lately. Mine i think is because things in there are so much more relaxed and stretched that when i do lots of things its my body saying 'righto stop now and take a rest' because thats exactly what i have to do.
My suggestion would be the obvious, if your concerned at all then call your Dr just to make sure and to also give you peace of mind.
The first is always so daunting. Just try to take it easy.

I'm no expert, but my opinion is the baby is getting ready to greet the world so she/he is laying down low, and putting alot of pain on you pelvis. Or pinching a nerve which could cause the sharp pain. With my first, this happened about a month before labour and would accur on and off. If you walking or on you feet for a while, the baby is obvisiously going to put more pressure on you pelvis, but i'm just about due and I get those types of pains walking to the bathroom from the couch. Yep, it bites. But after your baby comes, no more pain, something good to look forward too. And the fact the you baby is going to be here soon, it's worth all the pain. But if you are concerned, maybe you should call you Doc. But I was told not to worry else I start seeing dark red or bright red blood...
