when did your braxton hicks etc start?

    just wonderin ...

when I was pg with DS I don't think I had any contractions at all until my waters broke at 39+2. but a girlfriend had them from about 32 weeks!

when did your pre-labour start? how did you know?

when did your BH contractions start (if you had any)? how long did they go for?

was it different in different pregnancies?

With DD I don't really recall BH ctxs and as far as pre-labour goes, I really only got a bit of back pain right before I went into labour.

With DS, I had BHs from about 28 weeks. Painless. Similar to DD, only had pre-labour right before actual labour started. But lots of BHs, which was different to DD. Or maybe I was more aware of it. Who knows?!

With DS, not till 4 or so days before I went into labour (pre-labour) and not sure bout BHs

With this one, BHs have been starting since Christmas Day 10 days ago (a few small ones beforehand but nothing huge) and they're getting stronger as the days go on (to which is driving me crazy!)

when did your pre-labour start? how did you know? 10DOD, I knew because it must have been pre-labour at 10DOD and I had to go to the loo lots.

when did your BH contractions start (if you had any)? how long did they go for? Not one sign of BH's! I was starting to wonder if ds was ever going to come out!

I couldn't tell you whenmy pre labour startedwith any of my pregnancies but I CAN tell you your body actually does BH contractions from around the 14 week mark - you're just unable to feel them.

My prelabour (I spose) seemed to present itself the same as my back trouble ??

I did not feel any BH's with DD1 and DD2 but have felt them on and off since about 17 weeks with this one. They have become more frequent now, I feel them maybe half a dozen times a week, they normally last less than a minute and it feels like there is a basketbll in my tummy, my tummy goes really hard and you can feel it from the outside. TMI but it does this when I 'o' DTD and goes really hard and tight too, very different from labour cx's as there is only discomfort not pain and for me I feel the BH's all over my tummy where as with labour most of the discomfort was a lot lower.

Nae Nae is right everyone has BH's cx some people just dont feel them

My BH started at about 17 weeks - I think it may have even been 15 or 16 weeks but I cannot remember exactly. I think lots of people have BHs and do not even notice them. As for prelabour I have no idea! I am still trying to understand exactly what defines prelabour and how prelabour symptoms differ from ordinary late pregnancy symptoms.

Never with my first, about 37 weeks with my second, 35-36 weeks with my third and 24 - 26 weeks with my fourth - although those ones were mostly if i was moving around a lot, the real pre-labour type ones didn't kick in until about 34 weeks.

I didn't get any BH until my pre-labour contractions which started about every 10 mins on Sunday afternoon and I gave birth in the early hours of Tuesday morning (so nearly for 36 hours). The hardest part for me was the no sleep!! I was just so exhausted throughout my labour but I am in a way thankful for my longer labour as I feel it prepped my body and it never blew me away or became ultra painful or anything at the end like everyone kept saying it would so it was slow and steady kinda thing.

Good luck & all the best for a beautiful happy birth and healthy baby!

I have had BH's since 17 weeks... never freaking ending!! I think I actually had them before that cos I would get period pain sensations that would come and go, but never had any bleeding or problems

with DS i never felt any BH & it wasn't till i was in for monitoring at about 36 weeks that a m/w told me i was having them. i was induced & never felt any sort of pre-labour pains.

this time i had some painful BH the other night & i think i've had cramps a couple of times lately that might be BH....i'm just not really sure

I have only had one PG, and felt BH from around 25 weeks, I had a pre-labour scare of 45mins of contractions (around 10 mins apart) at 31 weeks, then didn't have anything until my waters broke at 38+6 weeks.
