I'm sorry about this being a bit graphic but I've got a question about sex. I've got 3 weeks to go and last night my DH swears he could feel somehitng VERY hard. Is this the cervix and should he be able to feel it? Just wondering? Does this mean the baby is dropping? Thanks!
I think the cervix does drop prior to labour (well everything gets sort of pushed downwards to due extra pelvic pressure) but I'm not sure if it feels hard...? They say your cervix feels like the end of your nose so I suppose that's sort of hardish. Sorry not much help but an interesting question!
I loved your question I actually get asked this alot in my antenatal classes
the cervix is firm like the end of your nose (I'm following you around Marydean )
but not so firm that your Dh could be feeling or hitting it
the baby will not be so low in your pelvis, for it to be felt by DH...but again it depends which position you where in
no harm will be done to you or the baby of course...but remember that the prostaglandins in semen can help ripen the cervix...when the body is ready for labor that is
Towards the end of my pregnancy with DD2 I could feel her head inside, if I wanted to. I imagine DH could feel it too. A little weird to thing about when DTD, but I'm sure no harm will be done. Keep on enjoying yourself!
