    Where did you waters break?

So as the post says - where did your waters break?
Days out from my due date and it dawns on me today in the middle of Woolworths, what on earth would I do if my waters broke right now! Now I'm too scared to go in public again

With DS, there was no small leaking of fluid, it was a MASSIVE gush, that soaked 2 beach towels and just kept going as I waddled into the hospital with a towel between my legs. Thankfully it started when I was at home, but was wondering if anyone had thier's break in public?

Mine first broke at home and I even made it to the toilet first, but a few hours later I was in kmart getting a few last minute things when a second huge gush went! I was lucky to be wearing black pants and waddled out as quick as I could! Didn't say anything to anyone about it, that was the last thing on my mind!

I read somewhere once that in your last few weeks you should always carry a jar of pickles with you, so if your waters break in public you can throw the jar down and pretend that you dropped them (hence the spill!)... Rofl!

With #1, maybe 10 mins before he was born (hard to say, I'm quite sketchy with my labour timelines!) in the birthing pool.
With #2, in bed (the popping sound woke me!), DH grabbed a towel to go underneath me, the bed didn't get wet at all. I went into labour maybe 15 min after that.

with ds1, 2 minutes befor he came out, being my first i had many an argument with the midwives each time they bought up the "have your waters broken yet?" as my reply was constantly "i dont know"
ds2, df woke me up, "quick wake up, wehys the bed wet?" i made it to the bathroom befor the next lot came out!
dd, i woke up feeling uncomfy, stood up, had just enough time to grab a towel!
i just hope this one happens away from the bed, but then it could be a good reason for getting a new one again?!

On the bed! And boy was it a CRAPLOAD of fluid. I put down two folded towels, a big thick cellular blanket, there were two doonas on the bed and an egg foam thing and it soaked right through the foam and missed the mattress. I lost a lot at once...
Considering I lose 12kg overnight id say i was carrying a bit of fluid

I just stood up out of beef wondering what my mum was doing (she was staying from uk and said she was going to make me a cup of tea)

I heard and felt a POP jumped onto the ensuit tiles were it continued to gush out! I also had mec in my waters so was pleased I missed the bed and carpet!

Only two of my pregnancies my waters broke...one was while chatting to my homebirth midwife and I felt a little pop and thought I wet myself so went to the toilet but I soon realised that it was constantly trickling out...and getting stronger.
The second was while i was sitting on the lounge on the computer and I felt a large pop and heard a big splash as they hit the floor...I was 26+6 weeks...so a little bit of panic followed

In bed at 3am. I woke up thinking I had wet the bed. I waddled off to the loo where it continued to flow out then more on the loo floor before I had time to sit... still took a few minutes to wake up and realise I couldn't stop weeing from the bed to the loo.... then reality kicked in.

DS1 - Started leaking when I was at work. They broke properly just as he was coming out.
    DD1 - Artificially broken
    DS2 - Artificially broken
DD2 - In bed when I was resting. I thankfully made it to the ensuite before they gushed everywhere.
