With ds I started cramping bout 2 am and then started my show bout 9 am contractions progressed 8pm that night he was born. I am 41+1 today I had a big s&s Tuesday and have been loosing heaps of my plug the last couple of days today has been the most. If I haven't had bub by sat they are going to break membranes but that's as far as inducing goes for me as I had dd via csect.
I only ever had a show with the twins at around 9am had pre labour for a few days before that. Was in hospital that night although they didnt believe i was in labour the twins were born at 7.07 and 7.09 in the morning
Thanks Mummszy and MrsS. So last night from about 3-5:30am I had lots of strong but not outright painful period cramps and BH but this morning nothing. This bubba is proving me wrong in my initial gut feeling that she would come a tad early... Im due tomorrow!
You could be right though in Perth I have very slim windows of opportunity re cool weather. I do notice though that bub is quieter after a bout of super hot days.
I've noticed the same about quietness in the heat, although I have to admit I'm spending most of my time under the airconditioning duct!! When all the eastern states ladies have been posting about wearing their jumpers and heaters on I'm very jealous. I think we're expecting 30 odd for Saturday aren't we, and not too bad for next week so maybe . . .
It won't be long now, however it goes. My girls were both late and I remember those last couple of weeks seeming to stretch on forever.
I had a small amount of mucus discharge the second morning of pre labour and a lot more just as it started to kick up a gear at 6pm that night, with a very small amount of blood. That was it for me and full on labour started soon after, with baby born just after midnight.
There's a big bloody show when you're just about ready to push too.
And I think plenty of early labour really warmed my body up and made everything go quickly and smoothly when things really got going. GL!

with my first i lost it whilst i was actually in labour.
second pregnancy, waters broke, 40hrs of on off labour and i never had a show before end up with a c/s
Well happy due date to me! This little one is out to prove me wrong as I always had an instinct she would come early! Stubborn cheeky little thing! No new signs, just more of the same.
Rest up and take it easy. Try to put time and dates out of your mind. Your little one will come when you are both ready. It's hard, I know, but try to ignore this early stuff.
Plan some things to do this week! Go to the movies, have a coffee with a mate, get a massage, book your fav restaurant... Give you something to look forward to, and if bub arrives then you won't mind missing out.
(my dd was born at 41 weeks, and ds at 40 weeks + 6)
I second what Jennifer and HotI said. DH and I went to goldclass when I was in my 41st week with both girls - I figured if ever something was going to prompt a bub to come out it would be buying ridiculously overpriced movie tickets we ended up not being able to use. It didn't work, but it was the last time for a long time that we got to see an entire movie together, and was nice to put my feet up for a couple of hours. If nothing else, today is a GREAT day to go to the movies!
