I had one with DD, once it wore off I felt fine, no sore back or anything and recovery was all fine.
I can't remember how long it took to wear off.
I did have trouble pushing DD out, I don't know for sure if it was because of the epi, she hadn't dropped down far enough so there was extra pushing needed to get her further down plus mixed with exhaustion. The epi could have played a part in the fact I couldn't get up out of bed to help gravity assist getting her down and then suction was required to get her out.
I had an epi but it wore off before I entered transition and they wouldn't top it up so that I could push properly. I didn't have any negative side effects whatsoever. My legs went tingly and I had to be helped to the toilet but that's it.
I had an epi with Nina. I didn't have a sore back or anything after labour. My epi wore off about half an hour after having Nina. I had it put in an hour before she was born. Within an hour of having her I'd showered and was walking around.
