Woe is me and my non existant appetite

So 8 people in my family got gastro including me... Monday night and Tuesday morning were horrid with Hubby and me running between toilets and buckets. Wednesday Hubby went to work (not me - on mat leave). I went to go have lunch with work colleagues but still didn't have an appetite from being sick so just ordered a side of fries. By 2pm i was feeling awful and did 6 power chucks (sorry TMI) but then felt alright but didn't eat dinner coz i knew i wouldn't be able to stomach anything. Come Thursday morning i was feeling a bit better so had a piece of toast - success - my first bit of food since Monday i had kept down. At lunch time i had one of those bacon and cheese roll things from bakers delight... went to the hospital Thursday arvo and it took so long that i was in a rush between leaving there and going out to the Breaking Dawn screening i had booked so i just grabbed some maccas (Hubby was out). Felt horrible after the maccas to the point i kept bringing up vomit in my mouth and swallowing it back down (sorry TMI again). This went on all night through the movie. Have woken up today, Friday, and feel ok but too scared to eat. So far since Monday i have lost 2.4 kgs. I am supposed to be gaining weight here. I'm 37 weeks pregnant.
Hubby has just text me from work saying he is worried about me coz i'm not eating, i won't have strenght and if i go into labour now he is concerned i will be too fatigued and become distressed. I am trying to reassure him i will be fine soon and this will pass. Ugh what to do... I have drank 3 glasses of water so far but the idea of food just makes me cringe. I have decided when i do eat next, it will be fresh fruit to try and combat any of the bad stuff making me feel worse... but just the idea of even biting into a piece of apple makes me feel sick..
    So... WOE IS ME!!

I had gastro recently too and it took me ages to eat normally again. I mainly ate toast and cot up lots of fruit for a fruit salad and snacked on that during the day. I also drank red cordial as it not only gave me sugar but also water. Lots of small snacks are good until your tummy is completely recovered.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Mmmm, stick with bland easy to digest foods for a while. Boring as hell, but at least they're less likely to come back, or if they do they don't taste terrible. Stuff like rice, chicken and veg for example.

    Hope you're feeling better soon!

I ate the same as I did before I was pregnant. And I don't eat a great deal, lucky to eat a meal a day and some snacks. I don't think u can harm yourself or your baby but maybe a quick call to your doctor can help calm your nerves
