    you know you're nesting when...

    - you have the urge to mop the floors at 11:30pm
    - you start doing dishes but end up trying to pull apart the extractor fan above the stove top and get angry it wont come apart
-your having a shower and realise you want to clean the fan above you AND THEN try to clean it. with a mop.
-your landry has more washing powder then anything else - and the women at the supermarket gives you 'the look' when you're buying it!
    - you've found the strangest things to clean (light switches being one )
-thinking about what you can and freeze and cant freeze only to realize that the freezer is full.

...so how do you know you're nesting?

i've stopped short of dragging twigs into the house and building a nest it seems

I did all our accumulated grotty baking trays yesterday that the other half was letting pile up in the oven.

I also decided (after years with the same bank) we pay too many bank fees and researched fee-free bank accounts and ended up doing a complete financial overhaul yesterday, between loads of trays.

Baby due in less than 2 weeks. Nesting? Me? Never

i am definitely an early nester this time around...with DD1 i left it all too late and never totally recovered lol!

but for me, i know i am nesting when:

    * i find myself at 10.30pm at night with a wet chux in my hand on all fours cleaning the skirting boards
    * cleaning the light switches (*snap* Dansta!!)
    * cleaning the walls and doors...you wouldnt believe the grime that accumulates around the handles....especially if they are at toddler height lol!
    * waking up on the verge of tears in the middle of the night 'cause the linen cupboard is not how you like it and you know that it is too late/crazy to get up and fix it.

ok, so that's been my crazy nesting for the last 2 weeks...

I know I am nesting when I throw stuff out - the op shop loves me in my last trimester....

when you have to clean the tops of the ceiling fan blades before turning them on.
when every piece of good crystal/glass that you own is sitting on towels in the laundry after you've had to clean it - even though it isn't going to be used for goodness knows how long

(FWIW I always clean my lightswitches and walls)

...when you work out that the spunge mop you use fits nicely under the kick boards in the kitchen...so they got cleaned as well...
when you clean something only to re-clean it (namely windows) as it looks dirty from the other side...and repeat twice or more before you realise the glass is scratched

I spent 90 minutes yesterday cleaning our ensuite - it is about 2metres by 4 - and that didn't include cleaning out the drawers or cabinets.....
