Question Was your prelabour as long second time around?

I'm starting to have some prelabour signs now: BH/tightenings regularly, period type pain down low as well in my back, loss of plug and very watery CM so constantly feeling wet which has been noticeable the last week, the runs and at times over bearing nausea. I'm also having sharp pains in my cervix and a lot of pressure which im guessing is his head..

This lasted about 3 weeks with DD. Started at this time and waters broke at exactly 38 weeks.

For those who had prelabour for weeks the first time did you have it the same second time around?

My next antenatal appt is next thursday, really trying to hold out seeing anybody until then.

Good question, I feel EXACTLY the same. No idea to be honest.

No idea as I don't remember anything in the lead up to DD's birth, but pre-labour with this little man has been going on for 2+ weeks already and I'm not due for another 2.5 weeks

I've been feeling exactly the same. I was waiting for something to happen Tuesday it was that full on but it all fizzled out after taking some pain relief & jumping into bed as directed by the midwife!

With DD I had prelabour from about 35 weeks & then had her at 39 weeks. My MW was saying the other day that once your body knows what to do it can start a lot earlier than with your first/second.

So the fun & games begin hey girls?!

Last night the pre labour was so strong I was honestly wondering if the bub would turn up this week. So far so good. It's just waiting waiting waiting.

I'm glad i am not the only one! I have always thought i would go earlier this time. My goal is 37 weeks. Right now isn't good as its DD's birthday is next tuesday and i'd like ATLEAST a week between the two of them

I had a big prelabour (including a false labour 4 days before birth) with my second. I have started at 32+4 weeks with #3 and don't know whether to hope she comes a little early or that she stays put and I have weeks of pain and discomfort boo for me

LMS, I have a MW appointment tomorrow so I'll ask her then and tell you what she says. I am also stuck between wanting to go early, and protecting myself against moving the due date earlier (mentally) because it would make going "post dates" harder. If you know what I mean .
