    Zero Energy Level

I am finding that with every 10min worth of walking or activities etc, I need another 10min to sit and relax? I have absolutely no energy and tired to the extreme, yet my BT and Iron etc is perfect? Anyone else having this problem in the third tri? What can I take on top of elevit to help with energy levels....
There's so many things that I want to do around the house, but physically cant do it?

ohhh hun. I am feeling for you. Sadly if all of those levels are OK, I think rest is the only option. Don't forget running around after an active toddler when heavily pregnant is loads harder than when you were preggo with No 1.

I think it is our bodies way of trying to prepare our mind for the acceptance of a messy house when bubs no 2 comes! lol ( at least that is what I am trying to tell myself)

Oh I hear you lovely!! I hear you!! I am also on elevit but still feel frustrated at the lack of 'oomph' in me!!

I'm not sure about further supplements - I am wondering if it's just part of that package of being so close to due and also being a mummy to another active munchkin (as well as normal everyday woman stuff - wife, mum, nurse, cook, cleaner, etc etc )

And trust me when I say that this next statement annoys the whatsits out of me sometimes as I know it's true but hate the fact that it is...... ....... it's important that you rest when you can and as much as you can and that might even mean somethings fall by the wayside or get handballed to someone else...... EVEN THOUGH it's something that we would rather be doing ourselves

Oh the joys hey?!?! Maybe someone else knows some other pick me up though.... I know I'll be keeping a close eye on this one

Take care lovely! Not long now!!!!

Awww Thanks Ladies! You are both so sweet!

LOL Relle, preparing us for a messy house!!!!!...Please dont tell me its worse with 2!!

Charleyfrog, I love that statement, Tis so true!! I just need the "balls" to "handball" my housework to someone else LOL!!! I hate asking for help, but I guess you just gotta do it!!!

I will be interested to see how many other expecting Mummys are extremely exhausted, and what they do to cope with it. Yep, pregnancy is definately harder the second time round. (Gaaaaawd Relle, I'm really feeling for you now!)

I'm 30wks into my first pregnancy and am finding my energy levels all over the place. Some days I have lots of energy and others I have zero energy, even though my routine is pretty much the same... Something that I have found that tends to make me feel more energetic is drinking half a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. I do this every morning. It tastes revolting, but on the days that I forget to do it, I end up feeling like crap by the early afternoon. I'm not sure how it works, but I heard somewhere that vinegar helps your body absorb nutrients better or something. So that, together with the usual stuff like keeping well hydrated and eating healthy seems to work for me.

That is interesting about the Apple cider Vinegar. When I was having acupuncture during IVF, my acupuncturist recommended organic ACV every day as it has great health benefits including being a gentle detoxifier for the liver which was my problem. It has to be organic though and undistilled. I had stopped taking it when I got pregnant but I think I will start again now. When I looked it up on the net, it has loads of benefits.
I have also found that taking Floradix (which is a herbal vitamin and iron tonic) has made a massive difference to my energy levels, although I was low in iron so maybe that is why.

I feel for you all, as i myself is in the same pedicament. One minute i have all the energy in the world and go flat stick all day, then i pay for it all night with pains. Or i can't get off the lounge all day, then up all night cleaning my house cause i can't sleep!!

Plus i too have a baby baby who just turned one yesterday, due in three weeks, finally get the keys to our new home today!!!, and i'm going to torture myself over the next week painting, flooring sanding and decorating my new home ready for bub number 4!!

I'll just rest and sleep next week!!!

Oh how i can relate to you all!

I am keeping sane by just laughing and walking around like a zombie - i am trying to pretend i am on some reality tv show (Big Brother)....

    I can say this though:

Dh says i will do this i will do that but does it happen - NOOOOOO!!! In the end i gave up and just organised someone else to do it for me. Yes he will go off as he is a believer that you don't pay no-one to do your work for you ie - house clean etc etc. Shhhh don't tell but i got a cleaner in took her 3.5hrs cost $63.00 bucks and i felt great! It was a special treat for me and i tell you it lifted my spirits and i got some rest thats for sure. I have never in my life got someone else to clean the house but this time i am glad i did. He still thinks i did it. Hee hee hee!

Today i am having my car cleaned $40.00 he wanted me to cancel it but no way i am getting it done i have asked for my car to be cleaned for months now! Another special treat for me!

We all deserve some time off at least and especially when we have other children, babies/toddlers, dogs, cats the bird iukwim.

So girls use your GIRLPOWER and just get someone else to do it for you. You will feel revitalised and great once you do it!

They say (books, drs, obs) we have to relax an take it easy all the time -

If all else fails get your Ob or Gp to write a note/medical certificate to say you can't do alot of hard work and have to rest and show him so he gets the message and then go for your life in booking people wether it be friends, family or the professionals go for it!

Just one last thing at least we are all in the same boat and i can now think to myself well i'm not the only one out there. Maybe we need a Big Brother Pregnancy house that we can all relocate too until we go into labour?
