Gastro and first day of school - what to do . . .

Oh that's no good! DD1's first bout of gastro early last year was like that. She was horrendous for the first 12 hours, then ordinary for the next 12, then super tired the following day and vomited once every night for the rest of the week! I couldn't believe how long it dragged on for!

Thanks Beans. Yep, she's started and touch wood, gastro free. She's not settling in well at all, but that's a whole other story. Hoping things will change for her very soon

Hey girls bit late in to this thread but thought I'd mention it anyway as might help others who get gastro. Oftentimes after a bout of gastro kids (don't know about adults) can develop temporary lactose intolerance so if your DD was say still having milk at night before she went to bed it could cause her to vomit again rather than the bug still being around. Learnt this the hard way when DS was much younger. When re-introducing milk i always watered it down.
