Im doing a tour of the school I want to send DS1 to, next week.
What questions should I ask?
Most stuff I want to know I can see on their website, but I hate looking dumb when they say have you got any questions and I say 'Um, not not really'
Im sure I should have questions..
my son is gifted, so i asked things like to see their gifted policy.
What extra-curricular activities they had in place? chess club, reading club, music classses
Did they participate in state/national academic competitions?
If they had a bullying policy?
Did they have an active mother's group or PTA?
I think that all schools have a bullying policy now so I would ask what processes they have in place to support their bullying policy. If my son was bullied what steps would they take to resolve it? If my son was bullying another student what steps would they take take to resolve it?
If my son was having any difficulties socially or academicly how/when would they inform me?
