School choirs

we had someone on the piano when we sang in the choir in high school even the new pop songs if i was their teacher and i had to use a cd i would get a backing track

At my school, we always use instruments when others are singing. Sometimes just a piano, but other times a small band. Singing with a lyrics CD would just sound awful.
