schooling is very confusing when lookingacross the country...
SA
its Kindy(kindergarten) 4yr old to 5yrs 4 1/2 sessions MAX 4 terms
then reception starts after their 5th birthday could be up to 6 terms depending on when their birthday is( eg DS is 5 in sept 2010 so he will do 5 terms of reception)
then yr 1 and so on(high school also starts at yr 8 here)

so in NSW what do the kids do before your kindy?

maybe we should have a sticky of all the differences state by state so we can see what each is talking about...
